The challenge

Launching Italy’s first academy dedicated to condominium training

Università del Condominio grew out of an idea by attorney Marco Quagliariello: bring training for the condominium sector online and make it accessible, in a structured way, to three different audiences (condominium administrators completing the mandatory training required by Ministerial Decree 140/2014, professionals looking for continuing education, and private individuals and unit owners who want to understand how their building works). Three audiences, three formats: long-form training courses, refresher courses and short video lessons (“Pillole del Condominio”).

The challenge was to design a platform able to host all three formats in a single experience, deliver protected videos with progress tracking, integrate with the professional association A.P.I.C.E. Italia (which offers the courses free of charge to its members) and grow over time with new courses, lessons and students.

The solution

A custom e-learning platform with a course catalog and integrated user management

We designed and developed a custom e-learning platform from scratch, built to manage the entire lifecycle of an online course: a catalog by category (professional training, refresher courses, video lessons), course pages with syllabus and description, user registration with a personal area, protected video playback with progress tracking, and certificates issued on completion.

The integration with A.P.I.C.E. Italia gives members automatic access to restricted content with no extra purchase steps, while for everyone else the catalog is organized to make it easy to discover courses and enroll individually. The back end is designed for the editorial team to run on its own: uploading courses, lessons and materials, sending newsletters to students and managing users.

Analysis and architecture
Mapping of the learning paths (mandatory professional training, refresher courses, video lessons), the course catalog and the integration with A.P.I.C.E. Italia for free courses for its members.

Academic design and UX
A visual identity that evokes the authority of a university, with institutional typography, a restrained palette and a user journey optimized for watching video content.

Platform development
Development of a custom course area with a catalog by category, a personal user area, a video playback system with progress tracking, certificates and integration with the APICE association.

Launch and SEO
Go-live, technical optimization and rankings for keywords around condominium training, condominium administrators and professional development.

The results

A specialized academy with more than 60 courses and an active community

The Università del Condominio platform is now Italy’s first academy dedicated to training in the condominium sector. The catalog hosts 62 online courses split between mandatory professional training, refresher courses and video lessons, for a total of 116 lessons available 24/7. The community of registered users keeps growing, with more than 90 professionals enrolled and 88 subscribers to the dedicated newsletter.
